Here is a brief introduction to Resistance Stretching (RS)
- This unique way of stretching focuses on changing and healing the body in a safe and simple way.
- By engaging and stretching a muscle at the same time the fascia tissue in the body is changed, which brings immediate and sustainable results.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM,中醫) concepts help to balance and harmonise the body to a healthy and natural state.
- The project's mission is to help people heal themselves by teaching them practical skills and theoretical knowledge to maintain and improve their health.
- The envisioned aim is to create sustainable groups which will act as an alternative health care and maintenance system in local communities.
The stretches are grouped into TCM energy meridians(經脈). There are multiple stretches for each meridian. You can find example self stretches for the upper and lower body by clicking on a picture below.
